100 Word Challenge Week 33

The storm raged on around me. I was two blocks away from my house when I heard a loud clap of thunder. I counted “one, two-” Then a flash of lightning lit up the sky. Only two kilometres away, I thought, better hurry. I started running against the wind and the rain. I just had to cross the road now. I stepped onto the road just in time to see a bus screeching towards me. I tried to yell out but it was too late. In the flash of lightning, I saw my life flash before my eyes, then darkness.

100 Word Challenge Week 32

I stood at the gallery looking at a statue of a tall man holding a burger up to his mouth. I turned around and prepared to move on, but a flicker of movement caught my eye. I pivoted around quickly so I was looking at the statue again. I shook my head. I put up to my over-active imagination, but just as I was about to walk off, the hands holding the burger moved up, and one of the eyes winked at me. I screamed and punched the hands holding the burger off the statue, then bolted from the gallery.

100 Word Challenge Week #31 collapsed

I stepped into the dark wide cavern. I looked around, moved forwards and heard a loud noise. I stood, frozen to the spot, then I saw a huge orange monster with the body of a lion and the head of a crocodile standing within the cavern. I turned around and attempted to run away but the entrance to the cave had collapsed. I screamed loudly for help. The horrifying monster reared back and let out a terrifying roar, and while it was roaring fire was released from it’s nostrils. I looked around one last time then fainted onto the floor.

100 Word Challenge Week 29

I walked through the dark forest, hearing my feet crunch leaves on the ground. Suddenly I heard a strange noise. Was it… Dripping? I looked up to the source of the sound and saw a green substance tangled in the branches. I realised that it was disgusting green slime. I looked around and wondered who’d  put it there. Suddenly the slime dripped through and it oozed down my head and onto my shoulders. I screamed as a capsule the size of a basketball tumbled out of the tree. When it hit the ground it automatically expanded into a- a Spaceship!

100 Word Challenge Week 28

I stood on the platform at Kings cross station, waiting until no muggles were looking. I noticed the platform clear. I looked behind me, picked up my owl, Moonlight, and pushed my trolley through the wall. I looked around and found myself on platform 9 3/4. I looked around the platform, then heard a shout behind me. I looked over at the entrance I had come from, and noticed that left to it, there was a wizard in the wall. He must have tried apparating into the wall. He repaired the wall with his wand, but it left some human shaped marks!

100WC Week 27

I zoomed past the farmlands on my small brown motorbike. I looked behind me and saw the sun beginning to set on the horizon. The sky was painted with beautiful pinks and oranges. I took out my camera took a picture, then turned back around just quickly enough to see the rock in front of my bike on the ground. I flew forward and landed on the hard ground. I groaned loudly  in pain. I tried to stand up but my leg started aching. I was worried now, my leg might be broken. I’ll live, I thought, then fell asleep.

Tara’s 100WC week 26

One day an ant was carrying a crumb from a sandwich on a plate. But how can something so tiny carry such a big crumb. It can carry it because it can get lots of other ants to help it. The man came outside and saw that a crumb was missing from his sandwich. He yelled “who took my crumb?”. The ants said “we did it!’ The man yelled “you silly ants!’. ” Hey that was close” one ant said. “Did you know it’s a joke because, get it sandwich, it’s two slices of bread and in the middle it’s sand.

100 WC week 26

I walked into the red and green building faintly smelling of ginger bread and candy canes. I opened the heavy gold doors and was greeted by an amazing sight. There was rows and rows of tiny people working on things at tables all leading up to a huge green and gold swirled door at the end. I looked down at the tables as I walked and saw they were making… toys? Then I realised where I was, Santas workshop I thought. But how can something so tiny create so much joy to the world? Anyone can with the right determination.

100 Word Challenge Week 25

I looked over at the clock on the wall. 3.. 2.. 1.. BEEP! The whistle blew and I dived off the platform into the cold, icy water. This was the annual swim race our school held at the local pool. I looked at the pool floor as I swam my hardest.  I looked over at the rest of the swimmers and they were all behind me! I stopped for a second to celebrate and did a victory swim, but then they all swam past me. In a few seconds the whistle blew and someone had won. So this is why I’m always last.

100 word challenge week 24

I walked into the park in the dead of the night.. All  I saw around me was darkness and the faint outline of trees. The only noise was my feet padding against the path. I inhaled softly. I jerked suddenly out of my dream. I had heard a noise. I looked around the trees were rustling. All of a sudden a giant stood up out of the trees. In my mind I heard, I am Athenasios Keeper of the park. He looked at me with shining gold eyes, then disappeared into the dirt, the only thing remaining was a hand.
